Opt for vehicle donation and not the selling of a junk car:
The days of your car is coming to an end. You just seem to keep on repairing the car, only to get it tuned up temporarily. You often wonder if it really was worth the time and money repairing the car. It is at times like this that you enter a dilemma of selling the car or donating the car. In fact, theoretically, in such situations, it would be better for you to donate your car, than to sell the car.
If you decide to try and sell the junk car, you will have to place some advertisements in the local newspaper informing people about your car. This advertisement will not be for free, and you may have to spend lots on it; sometimes much more than the cost of the junk car. Supposing you do place advertisements, you have to arrange and maintain your appointments with buyers so that they do not clash with your work. Sometimes, you may have to go out of your way to keep these appointments.
You may somehow or the other bear advertising costs to finally sell the car. However, over the passage of time, you are sure to feel some guilt for selling a lemon to the buyer. This fact will linger in your conscious for a long time to come, and will not leave you. So instead of going through all this hassle for the sale of a junk car, you might as well donate the car to some charitable institution. By donating your car, you not only get a feeling of satisfaction for helping the less than fortunate people, you also get yourself a tax deduction. So if you do have to decide between selling a junk car and donating it, do what most people are doing these days: donate the car to charity.
